I missed a lot of the 'driver introductions' because I was covering my eyes and wailing in agony.
What I did see was like the end of year school prize-giving, where the kids want to get off stage as soon as possible without actually breaking into a jog.
Next, I don't know what kind of person needs security protection in a strict members only hyper VIP area, and then what threat is perceived from a very well dressed octogenarian.
Right?! It was so cringe after a couple minutes and like all the drivers said they are adding way too many things for them to do pre-race. Just let them talk with their engineers do a quick comment to a reporter and then get ready to drive. And 100% like who do they think is going to be on the track?? I get he was doing his just but geez its so annoying seeing celeb security guards pushing around racing legends.

Yeah, the strangeness of it all is getting a bit much.
I don't envy the drivers having to do so much repetitive nonsense!
